For suitable locations, Desert Charge invests in the charging equipment and operates the charging service. Depending on the location, solutions may include DC fast chargers for corridor travel or Level 2 charging for longer dwell-time destinations. We work with site hosts to develop a practical arrangement for the property, without asking a small business to become an EV charging company.

Our approach is local, practical, and partnership-driven. Every site is different, and successful charging infrastructure depends on understanding the location, available power, travel patterns, community needs, and long-term operational requirements.
Founded in Nevada
Desert Charge was founded by Scott Allison, a Nevada-based EV driver with prior experience building companies and developing products used by people around the world.
After traveling extensively across Nevada by EV - including remote rural highways and communities - Scott began researching the state’s charging network and speaking directly with site owners, utilities, charging providers, service companies, and public officials about the gaps that remain.
Important locations should not be left behind because they are smaller, rural, or harder to serve.
Building charging infrastructure that lasts requires a Nevada-based company that understands Nevada’s unique challenges, and a cost model designed for the realities of serving lower-utilization,
harder-to-reach locations.
